PBS Excels With 21 Webby Award Nominations and 7 Honorees
The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences (IADAS) announced the Nominees for the 28th Annual Webby Awards, honoring the best in digital innovation and creativity. Only the top 12% of the 13,000 projects submitted from around the world receive a nomination. With 21 nominations across categories, PBS is in contention to be named The Webby Awards Media Company of the Year! PBS, PBS Digital Studios, PBS KIDS, and producing partners AMERICAN MASTERS, PBS NATURE, MASTERPIECE, NJ PBS, FRED ROGERS PRODUCTIONS and PBS NEWSHOUR received a total of 21 nominations and 7 honors.
While The Webby Award is chosen by the judging academy from the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences, The Webby People’s Voice Award is voted on by the public. Voting in the Webby People’s Voice Awards is now open through Thursday, April 18th at 11:59pm PDT with winners announced on Tuesday, April 23rd.
The 28th Annual Webby Winners will be celebrated during a show hosted at Cipriani Wall Street on Monday, May 13th.
