Demeo Battles “Ranked Mode” Rolls Out to Champions Across Meta, Steam & Pico Along with All-New In-Game Events

Resolution Games has launched a new round of updates for Demeo Battles players of all types, regardless of how competitive they are! Today’s update to the second entry in the Demeo Action Role Playing System that was initially launched back in November 2023, includes the much-anticipated “ranked mode” that will feature month-long seasons, 10 new single player challenges, a refreshed catalog with new arenas, in-game events and more (trailer here). The first in-game event has also been announced today to take place April 15-22, 2024 (more details below).

Additional features of this free update for current owners of the title on Meta Quest, Steam (flatscreen PC & VR) and Pico include:

• In-game events - Adding even more variety to Demeo Battles gameplay, champions can now participate in monthly, themed events. The first event, “Rat Week,” will take place April 15-22 and - you guessed it! - is all about the Rats! During this time, rats are more likely to appear in the shop - and they’re 30% off - so prepare to summon your rat minions and put them to work to tactically overcome your opponent. Future events will also feature changes in the store designed around a theme, unit or combo and will be announced within the game. • Rank progression - See if you have what it takes to win it all as you move up and down the ranks in month-long seasons from Bronze all the way up to Ace! At the end of the season, the leaderboards will be locked and final player positions available for all champions to see.
• New arenas, card backs and skins - Players can visit three new arenas, don new skins - including Frostfall skin for the Barbarian and Troubador skin for the Bard - and more.
• New single player challenges - Among the 10 new single player challenges are “Sudden Death,” an all-Assassin challenge; “Arachnocalypse,” where players take two Hunters against a pair of Guardians with a ton of giant spiders; and “Nexus,” which has the player as Warlock and Barbarian against another Warlock/Barbarian pair and features a bevy of Portals, Detect Enemies and Ballista.

Demeo Battles, which is available to new players for $19.99 and available for cross-play across multiple platforms including Steam (flatscreen PC + VR) and Meta Quest (VR), is one of Resolution Games’ seven titles that can also be played in mixed reality mode. As previously announced, the studio will also bring Demeo Battles to PlayStation 5 and PlayStation VR2 later this year.
